The 37 units of the Humboldt Lofts feature award-winning Architecture by Julie Snow Architects in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis' Historic Mill District.

Dramatic floorplans have been created by synthesizing contemporary architecture with historic preservation.

The newly designed Humboldt Annex features breathtaking views through floor-to-ceiling windows, while the historic Humboldt Mill features charming exposed brick walls and round arched windows.

Spoonriver, the stylish restaurant located on the first floor of Humboldt Lofts, serves a bold and innovative menu of natural and locally sourced gourmet cuisine. In addition to the culinary concept, Spoonriver features a sleek intimate dining room and bar where signature cocktails are served.

About the Mill District

The Historic Mill Quarter can rightfully be considered the roots of Minneapolis. Since 1822 the flourmills have been a presence on the Mississippi River. The Washburn-Crosby Company (later becoming General Mills in 1928) was among the first of the mills to start production in the area.

During the late 1800s water power became less efficient and so more mills began converting water power to electricity. In the late 1930s Minneapolis lost its lead in the milling business and in the decades after the mills moved away from the river.

Today these former mills along the river have been transformed into the Mills Ruin Park, the Mill City Museum and unique loft condominiums that preserve the areas historic beginnings.
